Troubleshooting
The server shows "Never connected" in the panel
- Check the output of
/wac web status; to link again run/wac web connect <key>(keys start withwg_srv_).web.enabled: truemust be set inconfig.yml. - Check the console for connection lines starting with
[WardenGuard].HTTP 401means the key is wrong or was rotated; get a new key with Rotate key in the panel. - Your server must be able to make outbound connections on port
443. Some hosts restrict outgoing connections.
The server keeps connecting and disconnecting
- If the same key is used on two servers, the connections close each other (close code
4003). Give every server its own key. - Make sure the server clock is correct. If it drifts more than 30 seconds, messages are rejected with a
STALEerror. Use NTP.
I cannot run console commands
- Your role needs the Run allow-listed commands permission. The Moderator role can only run allow-listed commands (
list,tps,kick,msg,wgand so on). - Dangerous commands (
op,stop, reload…) require 2FA on your account and a fresh verification code. - If the server is offline, the command waits in the queue for 5 minutes and is dropped if the server does not connect in time.
Config stays at "Waiting for plugin acknowledgement"
- If the plugin could not validate the config, you get a Plugin rejected the config notification with the error lines; fix them in the Raw YAML tab.
- If the server is offline, the config is applied when it connects.
The live feed does not update
- If the Live indicator in the top bar is red, the connection between your browser and the panel dropped; the page reconnects automatically.
- Corporate networks may block WebSockets. Try another network.
